What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember things between page loads. Without any cookies, you'd have to sign back in every time you click a link.
Some cookies are strictly necessary — without them, the site doesn't work. Others are optional — they help us understand how the site is used, but the site works fine without them.
Karmdit uses five cookies in total. Three are necessary, two are optional analytics. We don't use cookies for advertising, tracking across other sites, or building any kind of profile on you.

How to control cookies
You have three places to manage what's set on your device.
- Our cookie banner. Shows on your first visit. Pick "Only essentials" to skip the analytics cookies entirely. You can also re-open it from the footer at any time.
- Analytics opt-out. If you've already accepted analytics and want to back out, visit /settings/cookies while signed in. One toggle.
- Browser settings. Every modern browser lets you block cookies entirely or per-site. Steps differ — search "block cookies" + your browser name.
Blocking the strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in. Blocking the analytics cookies has zero impact on the product.
Third parties
A handful of third-party services support Karmdit. Two of them set or process cookies on our behalf; the others operate server-side only.
- Stripe — payment processor. Sets a CSRF cookie only on the checkout page, scoped to
checkout.stripe.com. Their privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy. - Google Analytics — analytics. Sets
_gaand_ga_*, listed above. We use it only to count visits and see which pages people read; we don't enable Google Signals or ad-personalization. Their policy: policies.google.com/privacy. - Sentry — error monitoring. Server-side only. No cookies. Their policy: sentry.io/privacy.
Changes to this policy
If we add, remove, or repurpose a cookie, this page is updated and the cookie banner is re-shown so you can re-consent. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change.
For meaningful changes, we'll also notify signed-in users by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
